Herbsfromhome.com is a family that believes there
is a remedy in a plant. Our preparations are based on the common sense approach to natural herbal healing.
Each plant [herb]
has a power to provide health and healing. We have a list of herbal ointment, balm, pain rubs, and
salve, infusions and tinctures preparations that are used for general or specific skin complaints. For oil or water herbal
infusion or herbal tincture, contact us for a list in stock or a preference.
There are very few miracles out there.
But we have found that life can be made bearable by taking nature's freely offered gifts and then preparing it into
a usable form. Extended information on herbs and use; see Herbal treatments.
We will help you find what you need or will make up any
salve, balm, rub or ointment, tincture or infusion at your request. We are open to any and all suggestions.
We supplement our own organic garden herb
supply and our own wild crafted herbs. If we are unable to purchase herbs locally, we buy from America
companies that carry American products, [unfortunately there are exceptions] All
our bulk herbs are closely inspected by sight, taste and smell.
The herbs are usually purchased in small quantities so that we
always have fresh herbs for our preparations on hand, but can order larger quantities.
Aromatherapy of
Vanilla is fully organic, a calming influence on the body and has no harmful side effect. It can be therefore used
in cosmetics and for the medicinal. We have found
it does not affect the healing properties.
Chickweed
herb is our Signature herb and can be used with other
herbs or by itself. It has tremendous healing power so many of our products contain chickweed. Chickweed can be added free
of charge to any preparation. herbs

Herbal
medication makes the body work to help itself. It
is important not to give up, herbs are often slow to act, dedication is important. Topical Herbs do not give violent reaction, perhaps irritation [that is why the
preparation should be tested in a small area first] with a particular herb[s] but just quit using the combination, try
another.
We are the so called technical persons that prepare the web page...so if you
find discrepancies please let us know.
We welcome your comments and questions!
Lynne's note: I am a great believer in Body Reflexology.
It can work miracles. A bit of herbal oil or salve on the fingertips or the hands can soothe and smooth.
Another Lynne's note: Radiesthesia, human electronics. How
it works and why it works is a mystery --- but it works. A pendulum is an inert object but comes alive in certain hands and there
is communication. Galileo talked about it in the 16 century. It can tell the color that can be soothing, the music the
eases the mind, the sore spot, these are just some of the things that can be communicated. It is limited to a persons questions
and the visual path that it needs.
Suggestion for those preparing medicinal salves,
ointments and rubs. Select the herbs carefully for quality. Check history of each herb before combining. Depending on the
problem, there are certain herbs used for the skin; to restore, to penetrate, rebuild, for pain, drawing power, power to draw
into itself, used to bring the other herbs together, scent, tighten, soothe, rejuvenate, to name a few powers of a given herb
or combinations. Check for portion size and method of preparation. For example; leaves, roots and bark each differ in method
for extraction of herb properties, selection and percentage, heat, time frame, portion size, carrier, natural preservation,
emollient[s] and scent.
