Of interest: The bees love it. The name Melissa comes from the Greek word ‘Bee’. It has been rubbed on Bee hives to encourage bees, so no garden should be with out this fragrant little Balm bush
 Soothing medicinal properties and culinary and aromatic. 

A salve of Lemon balm [or when lemon balm is added to a salve] helps to relieve stress and tension from the body. [Let us know and we add small portion lemon balm to any salve, rub or ointment.]

For the external use the balm is excellent for;  

  • minor skin irritations
  • insect bites and stings

Salve of Lemon Balm may bring relief of cold sores, herpes 1 and 2. Applying the salve 2 or 3 times a day is said to shorten healing time and give a longer time between reoccurrences.
